Meet Alex. She is my hair stylist and friend. She is amazingly talented, unbelievably kind, hysterically funny...I can't say enough good things about her. I love her and think she ROCKS!

Down on the Farm

This past weekend we made our first of many trips to the farm. They spruced up the place over the winter - a new sign and a fresh coat of paint on the main barn. Since the weather has been absolutely horrendous, not much is growing yet, but we were able to pick our own asparagus - YUM! Amazing flavor. The 'Ladies' even dropped some eggs for us - DOUBLE YUM! If you are ever in Homer Glen, stop by the farm. Even if you don't want to pick your own anything, they have a brand new ADORABLE gift shop, with hundreds of yummy treats, produce and nick knacks, not to mention their very high quality flowers and plants that are for sale as well.

More Flowers

All the incessant April rain did bring me more flowers in my little garden. Too bad the nighttime freezing temps are killing them. Get me out of here!

New CD

Support family farming - learn how your food is gown and who grows it. Better yet, give them a break and go pick it yourself. Then you know you are getting the freshest, highest quality produce available. And don't forget to stop by the stand and get a dozen of the most delicious eggs you will ever have. Laid fresh that morning by 'The Ladies'. If you are lucky and get there early, they are still warm from the chickens' butts!

Adventures of Wonder Kitty

The first beautiful spring day - it seems like forever since we have seen the sun around here. It was so beautiful that Truman the Wonder Kitty went on an adventure! No bush or blade of grass was off limits, no bird safe from his glare..... Where will Wonder Kitty turn up next? Stay tuned.

April Showers....Flowers

Since we live in a codo, I only have a 2' x 2' square of gravel to garden in. Despite this misfortune, I was able to grow a few spring bulbs. This is the first to bloom - enjoy!

We're Still Here

I know, the real estate market sucks. I know it has only been two weeks. I know we have had several showings, many calls, lots of hits to the site...blah blah blah....but I WANT OUT! The weather and perpetual grayness is making me suicidal. This has to end. Someone please just buy my condo and put me out of my misery.

New Pics

Just a few new pics of my kitty and doggy. They are just so cute I have to share. Truman is my furry butt warmer. We sold all our furniture so we have to lay on the floor like homeless people. Truman and I like to lay in the sun whenever we can. We may be albino lizards, we are both very white.
