Adventure Kitty 2009

Adventure Kitty is back!! He strikes again! The first nice day and he was back outside to terrorize blades of grass and leaves of all sizes. Baby birds beware - Truman is on the loose! His brother Binks - who does not have his own harness, and cannot join Adventure Kitty outside - looked on, unamused.

THE Fashion Show

I can't help it - I do love it! It is catty and it is reality TV, which I despise, but c'mon - it's Isaac! I LOVE HIM!!!! Who doesn't?!?!?! He is brilliant and funny and warm and brings such humanity to the show. I love when they discuss the thought process behind the design, when they look at what one of the contestants is working on and can envision where it can go and explain it. That is a creative insight I completely lack. I can look at something and say good or bad, yes or no, but to develop it - forget it, I don't have that ability. Maybe that is why I enjoy the show. It features a personality aspect I completely lack. Anyway, it is week 5, I think, and I think the front runners are Reco, Anna and Merlin. (Merlin who should get an award for just being Merlin on a sunny day, he is a riot in real life.) Right now I am leaning towards Anna...but Reco has talent and sewing skills....but then there is Merlin, and you just don't know what might happen there.

WTF

California, what the hell is your problem?! You are supposed to be the cool kids. The cutting edge. The ones we all want to hang out with. And instead you are proving to be incredibly LAME! What the hell is your issue?!? Why can't you pull your collective heads out of your ass and gives the gays a little equality, a little happiness. Give it up you douches! God it makes me wish you would fall into the ocean!

Hate to Admit It

She's gorgeous. I hate to say it cause she is such a freak, but come on, how much closer to perfect can you get? Look at this?! I wanted to puke, I think she is a freak - a real freak - with that United Colors of Bennaton collection of kids she drags all over the planet for no appearant reason, and her needless torturing of Brad Pitt...freak show. But you have to admit, she looks perfect. The dress, the color, the draping, she's so skinny, the hair, the make up, it all worked flawlessly. I want to die.

Trek Rules

TOO MUCH FUN!! Today we went and saw the new Star Trek movie - IT ROCKS! You have to have go see it. Even if you are not a fan - it is awesome. So much fun and exciting, explosions, action packed - just a great time. I am so glad we went. We are fans, and could not have enjoyed it more. They perfectly played the characters, showing all the traits and kitchy things that made you love it/them from the begining. Especially the guy that plays Kirk - dead freaking on. He is killer. Could not have done a better job if he tried. And Sulu - way cooler in this version, than on TV. It was a blast, well worth the outrageous sum required to see even the early show at the theater.

Happy Anniversary #4

FOUR YEARS!!! We have made it four years so far - and we are still happy and glad to be together. In fact, we joke about being the only happy couple we ever hear about. We still want to spend time together, try to do special things for each other, all the things most people say you give up on after the first year. We don't get it, we are still each others favorite person, we still wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I guess we are lucky, we found each other. We fit together well. Happy Cinco Day Mayo!

The Big 4 OH

This is me at 40! Can you believe it? I am actually ok with it. The only thing that really bothers me about this picture is no matter how much weight I lose, I still have giant hips. (Thanks Zisser genes.) That and I just don't think I should be this old. I am not put together enough, polished enough to be 40. I feel like I should have paid attention more, taken notes, applied myself more. I still feel like a goof, like I have so much time ahead of me, but I don't. I'm like half dead, sort of. I should be a grown up by now, but I don't feel like one yet.
